Leila Driver - in the Cotswolds

Welcome to my site. I hope you enjoy what you see.

I have lived in Stow-on-the-Wold for 24 years. Stow is said to be the heart of the Cotswolds and at nearly 800ft above sea level is the highest town in the Cotswolds. With more then 150,000 visitors every year, Stow is a very popular market town.Stow on the Wold

Stow offers many fine Antique shops, Art galleries, Bed and Breakfasts, Gifts and Crafts, hotels, pubs, tearooms and beautiful views all year round!

Stow was home to the Great British Cheese Festival in 2000, when cheese fans from around the world flocked to Stow to sample some of the finest Cheese in the business. The Prince of Wales attended the British Cheese Awards and won two awards for his own brand of cheese made from the Ayrshire cows grazing at his Highgrove home.

The Gold Cup meeting in Cheltenham is another busy occasion for Stow-on-the-Wold and surrounding towns and villages, drawing in thousands of racing fans each year. Hotels advise to book well in advance!

If cheese and horse racing aren’t your thing, don’t worry, there’s plenty more on offer…

On my site you will find a brief description of some of the other villages and towns in the Cotswolds, with photographs, places to stay and places to visit.

Enjoy!!
